Lavender Tea Latte
This lavender tea latte is a calming way to start your morning or wind down your day.
- ½ teaspoon culinary grade lavender
- ½ cup boiling water
- ½ cup milk of choice I used oat milk
- 1 teaspoon local honey or more to taste
Place lavender in either the bottom of a mug or in a tea infuser basket. Pour hot water over lavender and steep for 5-7 minutes.
While tea steeps, heat milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until it comes to a very gently simmer. To make a latte rather than milk tea, use a frother to make the milk nice and foamy (see post for tips).
Once tea has steeped, strain lavender (or remove tea infuser basket) and stir in honey. Pour steamed or frothed oat milk on top and enjoy.
